I’ve never been much for games.\u00a0 In my entire life, I have not watched a complete football game, or basketball game either.\u00a0 I don’t get much fun out of playing cards, or party games.\u00a0 The only game on my iMac is Mahjong.\u00a0 So, it surprised me how much fun the Wii can be.<\/p>\n
My wife asked for one for Christmas, but I couldn’t find any for sale.\u00a0 So, when the demand let up after Christmas, I found one at my local Best Buy store, and bought it along with a Wii Fit.\u00a0 I can’t believe how much fun it is!<\/p>\n
So far, I have logged over 20 hours of Wii Fit credits in the first month, and I have to admit; I feel better.\u00a0 My wife has logged over 10 hours herself on the Fit.\u00a0 The team that invented Wii Fit, and the balance board did a great job.\u00a0 I mostly do the Aerobics and some of the Balance games because thats what I think will help me most (being ah-hem overweight).<\/p>\n
As I understand it, the idea for the Balance Board came from Sumo Wrestlers.\u00a0 Sumo Wrestlers are so heavy, they have to weigh themselves by standing with each foot on a different scale, and then adding up the readings.\u00a0 Nintendo thought way outside the box on this one.<\/p>\n
The sports pack that comes with the Wii is also a blast.\u00a0 We are especially fond of Golf and Bowling, but all the games are fun.\u00a0 The only one who doesn’t like them is our dog, who seems to feel left out.<\/p>\n
Last week, we bought We Ski, and it is one complex game.\u00a0 Computer games have come a long way since the days of ‘Pong’!<\/p>\n
I have to issue a word of warning though.\u00a0 If you don’t want to suck up a lot of time; don’t buy a Wii.\u00a0 I find it impossible to stay away from it.<\/p>\n
